Ref:  2007 Form 1040 Individual Income Tax Return

 Dear Client:

It’s that time of year again…time to start thinking about your tax return!

We are pleased again to offer two options for sending you a tax organizer this year.  This organizer reflects 2006 actual information as well as a column to input 2007 amounts.  Your completion of this organizer will help expedite the completion of your return.  You can either complete a traditional paper Tax Organizer, or you can submit your tax information online using an Internet Tax Notebook!

The Internet Tax Notebook allows you to conveniently use any computer with Internet access to provide us with your tax data, and ensures you never overlook any important information.

Please contact Mrs. Mandi Edwards at 407-740-5077 ext 213 to indicate if you would prefer to receive a traditional paper Tax Organizer or if you are interested in using an Internet Tax Notebook.

Mandi will provide you a User ID and password if you choose to use an Internet Tax Notebook.  Likewise, if you have any questions about the Internet Tax Notebook, Mandi would be happy to provide you with additional information regarding this Internet tool.  We have also included for your reference instructions for utilizing the Internet Tax Notebook.

Also enclosed is a 2007 Request for Documentation Checklist.  This guide should be used to gather the appropriate documentation to submit to our office for the preparation of your 2007 income tax return.  These documents will need to be submitted to our office regardless of whether you choose to use a traditional paper Tax Organizer, an Internet Tax Notebook or if you choose not to use an organizer.

In addition to completing either a paper organizer or an Internet Tax Notebook, we request that the enclosed 2007 Engagement letter and 2007 Individual Tax Questionnaire be completed, signed and returned to our office.  (An additional copy of the engagement letter is provided for your records.)

Please note that to comply with insurance and industry directives, we are now required to maintain engagement letters for all of our tax and accounting engagements.  As such, we will not be able to issue your completed Form 1040 without a signed copy of the engagement letter and the “2007 Individual Tax Questionnaire.”

We look forward to providing services to you.  Should you have questions regarding any items, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 Very truly yours,

 RUGGIERO, MARTINEZ & NORTON, P.A.

RM&N 2007 REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTATION CHECKLIST

This guide should be used to gather the appropriate documentation to submit to our office for the preparation of your 2007 income tax return.  These documents will need to be submitted to our office regardless of whether you choose to use a traditional paper Tax Organizer, an Internet Tax Notebook or if you choose not to use an organizer.  The filing deadline for the tax return is April 15, 2008.  In order to meet this filing deadline, the information needed to complete the return should be received by us no later than March 7th, 2008.  Any information received after that date may require that an extension of time be filed for this return.

If an extension of time is required, any tax that may be due with this return must be paid with that extension.  Any amounts not paid by the filing deadline are subject to interest and late payment penalties when those amounts are actually paid.

If you are completing a Tax Notebook via the Internet, the preparation of your return will not commence until both your Tax Notebook has been completed and the relevant backup documentation has been received by our office.  As such, we request that backup documentation be mailed within three business days of the completion of your Tax Notebook.

 RM&N INTERNET TAX NOTEBOOK

Completing your Internet Tax Notebook is easy.  You simply link to the individual Tax Notebook that we designed exclusively for you, answer all the questions, and complete relevant sections of the Tax Notebook online.  When your Tax Notebook is complete, you can print a copy for your own records, and then submit your tax information to us with just the click of a button!  Your information is always secure and will not be seen by anyone but the tax professionals at our firm.
